This project started from a sense of discomfort with the excessive claims often seen on ryokan websites.
I consider expressions that promise immediate physical improvement from short stays to be largely disconnected from reality.
Instead of promoting direct mental or physical benefits, this site is designed to provide a reason to step away from everyday life as an experience.
Specifically, it structures meaning around the act itself—such as yoga or outdoor activities—rather than their outcomes.
Visually, it builds upon the commonly imagined ideal stay while incorporating Canvas-based effects to transition from impression to emotion.
The site is built with Nuxt and supports both Japanese and English.
